Alumni and friends of Orchard Lake are eligible to become members of the Chancellor's Senate.
A membership may also include the spouse and family of a participant, if so designated.
Members of the Chancellor's Senate are persons who have distinguished themselves in their personal and professional lives. They share with the Orchard Lake Schools a commitment to the future and a quest for excellence.
Cum Laude Membership is granted to those individuals making gifts of $1,000 to the Senate during a 12 month period of time.
Magna Cum Laude Membership is granted to those individuals making gifts of $2,000 to the Senate during a 12 month period of time.
Maxima Cum Laude Membership is granted to those individuals making gifts of $5,000 to the Senate during a 12 month period of time.
Summa Cum Laude Membership is granted to those individuals making gifts of $10,000 during a 12 month period of time.
Perpetual Summa Cum Laude Membership is a special designation awaneJ to those contributors making a gift of $100,000 or more.
Gifts can be madr in cash, real property, securities, gifts of future interest, insurance, wills and trusts.
Members of the Senate may specify use of their gifts in two ways:
1. Undesignated. An undesignated gift will be used at the discretion of the Chancellor.
This type of gift is vitally important to the daily function of the Orchard Lake Schools.
2. Designated. A member of the Senate may designate that the gift be earmarked for
a specific educational function of the Orchard Lake Schools.
